Overview: iShares Global Clean Energy ETF aims to track the performance of S&P Global Clean Energy Index. It allows an investor to gain targeted access to clean energy stocks from around the world. Total AUM of this ETF is USD 159 Million. It was incorporated in US on 24th June 2008. About the Fund Manager: Founded in 1988, Blackrock is the largest asset manager in the world managing US$6.44T. BlackRock operates globally with 70 offices in 30 countries and clients in 100 countries. Due to its power and the sheer size and scope of its financial assets and activities, BlackRock has been called the world's largest shadow bank. Sector: This ETF is invested in Renewable Electricity (33%), Electric Utilities (19%), Heavy Electrical Equipment (16%), Semiconductor Equipment (10%), Environmental & Facilities Services (9%), Semiconductors (7%), Electrical Components & Equipment (3%), Oil & Gas Refining & Marketing & Transportation (3%). Investment Strategy: This ETF track the performance of S&P Global Clean Energy Index and allows an investor to gain exposure to companies that produce energy from solar, wind and other renewable sources.
