BLACKROCK USA MOMENTUM FACTOR ETF (MTUM) tracks the MSCI USA Index and invests in large and midcap US equities, weighted based on price appreciation over 6 and 12-month periods with low volatility over the past 3 years. MTUM has a 59% exposure to technological and financial sector. Healthcare and Industrials account for over 30% exposure. The fund holds 100+, makes large sector bets and carries high market risk. The strategy is rebalanced on a quarterly basis with the rebalancing mechanism being determined by an algorithm that takes into account the overall performance of the strategy so far.

Fund Strategy

The investment seeks to track the investment results of the MSCI USA Momentum Index. The fund generally will invest at least 90% of its assets in the component securities of the underlying index and may invest up to 10% of its assets in certain futures, options and swap contracts, cash and cash equivalents. The index consists of stocks exhibiting relatively higher momentum characteristics than the traditional market capitalization-weighted parent index, the MSCI USA Index, which includes U.S. large- and mid-capitalization stocks.
